General
The questions everyone asks first.
Learnd AI is an AI study workspace. You drop in lectures, PDFs, audio, notes, or YouTube links, and Learnd AI turns them into a complete study system — flashcards, quizzes, mock exams, mind maps, study plans, lesson plans, rubrics, and an AI tutor that cites every answer back to your own materials. 30+ generators in one product.
Yes. Learnd AI is free during beta — no credit card required, and beta accounts are never charged automatically. We plan to introduce Free and Pro plans after beta, with at least 30 days' notice. See the pricing page for details.
Most AI study tools generate the same 4 things: chat, summary, flashcards, quizzes. Learnd AI does those — plus 25+ more: mock exams, mind maps, study plans, lesson plans, rubrics, worksheets, knowledge gap analysis, and more. Everything is organised around a "module" workspace, scheduled with spaced repetition, and grounded in your own sources with page-level citations.
Yes. Learnd AI works with any subject — STEM, humanities, law, medicine, languages, professional certifications, business, and more. If you have learning material for it, Learnd AI can build a study system around it.
Every answer from the AI tutor is grounded in the sources you uploaded and cited back to the exact page, slide, or video timestamp. That means you can always verify the source. Generated study tools (quizzes, summaries, flashcards) are built from your material — not from the open internet — which dramatically reduces hallucination compared to general chatbots.
Learnd AI runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. It works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can also install Learnd AI as a Progressive Web App for a near-native experience. There is no separate iOS or Android app today.
Learnd AI requires an internet connection for most actions (AI tutor, generation, syncing). The PWA caches some assets for faster reloads, but it is not a full offline-first product today.
For students
If you are studying for school, university, or exams.
Use the "I have an exam" flow on the dashboard. Tell Learnd AI your exam date, available study days, and hours per day; drop in your materials (PDFs, lecture audio, YouTube links). Learnd AI builds a "cram kit" — a personalised study plan, quiz, flashcards, and mock exam — in minutes.
When you study flashcards, Learnd AI tracks which cards you find easy or hard and schedules reviews at increasing intervals — right before you would normally forget. The more often you struggle on a card, the more often you see it. This is the most effective evidence-based way to retain information long-term.
Quizlet and Anki require you to make every card by hand. Learnd AI generates flashcards, quizzes, summaries, mind maps, mock exams, and study plans automatically from your own lectures, notes, and PDFs — then schedules reviews using spaced repetition.
ChatGPT answers from its training data — it doesn't know your textbook, your lecture, or your professor's slides. Learnd AI only answers from the sources you upload, and shows you the exact page or timestamp behind every claim. It also generates structured study tools (flashcards, mock exams, mind maps) that ChatGPT cannot.
Yes. Upload your prep material — practice papers, prep books (PDFs), recorded sessions — and Learnd AI will generate mock exams, flashcards, and a study plan around it. Use the "I have an exam" flow to anchor the schedule to your test date.
No — and it shouldn't. Learnd AI is a study assistant grounded in the materials your professor or textbook provides. It generates practice questions, summaries, and study plans from those materials, and answers questions about them with citations. Your professor and your textbook are still your source of truth.
For teachers & educators
If you teach a class, run a course, or tutor students.
Lesson plans (with objectives, activities, and timing), worksheets (with an optional answer key), rubrics, slide decks, discussion prompts, learning objectives, and infographics — all built from your existing teaching materials.
Build a module from your course material, then use the share dialog to invite students by email. They get notified and open the module in their browser — instant access to the AI tutor, flashcards, quizzes, and anything else you generated. You can revoke access at any time.
Yes. Students can use Learnd AI with their own materials at no cost, and they can open any module you share with them without paying.
Yes. Your uploaded materials are never used to train models. Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted. You can delete a module at any time to permanently remove its contents.
Not yet. Learnd AI today is a standalone web product — you share modules via a link, not through an LMS integration. Native LMS integration is on our roadmap. If LMS support is critical for you, let us know at hello@lrnd.ai and we'll keep you updated.
Not yet. Today, Learnd AI is student-centric — each student studies privately. Teacher-side analytics (engagement, progress, attempts) are on the roadmap but not currently available.
For professionals
If you learn from meetings, reports, papers, or training material.
Yes. Upload audio recordings from Zoom, Teams, or any other platform — Learnd AI supports MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AAC, and FLAC. The recording is transcribed, indexed, and added to your module alongside any other documents you upload.
Your materials are transmitted over TLS, stored encrypted, and never used to train AI models. Modules are private to you by default; nobody else sees them unless you explicitly share them. You can delete a module at any time and its contents are permanently removed.
Yes. A module is a workspace that can hold many sources together — meetings, papers, decks, web pages, audio. The AI tutor searches across every source in the module and cites the exact page or timestamp behind every answer.
Not yet. Learnd AI today is a standalone web product. You upload files manually from your computer, paste in URLs, or paste in YouTube links. Native integrations are on the roadmap. If a specific integration is critical for you, tell us at hello@lrnd.ai.
Not yet. Learnd AI today is built around individual accounts. Team workspaces, admin controls, and shared content libraries are on the roadmap. If you're interested in team use for your company, email us at hello@lrnd.ai and we'll get in touch when it's ready.
Sources & uploads
What you can drop in, and what happens to it.
Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, EPUB, PPT, PPTX. Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AAC, FLAC. Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, M4V, MPEG, OGV, WEBM. Web: any URL. Video platform: YouTube links. Plus in-browser audio recording. Over 15 source formats in total.
Reasonable file sizes are supported. Very large audio recordings or video files may take longer to process. If a file fails to upload, try splitting it into smaller pieces or contact us at hello@lrnd.ai.
Yes. Use the "Record audio" option on the dashboard to capture voice notes, lectures, or meetings directly in your browser — no separate recorder app needed.
Yes. Paste any YouTube URL on the dashboard. Learnd AI ingests the video and uses its transcript so the AI tutor can answer questions about the content and cite specific timestamps.
Yes. Paste the URL directly. Learnd AI ingests the page content into your module so the AI tutor can search and cite it like any other source.
Yes. The file picker accepts multiple files in one selection. You can also paste multiple URLs (one per line) in the same step.
Most documents are ready in under a minute. Long audio and video files take longer because they must be transcribed first. You can keep working in other modules while a source is processing.
AI tutor
The chat that sees your sources.
A chat interface that answers questions based on the sources in your module. Every answer is grounded in your material and cited back to the exact page (for PDFs and slides) or timestamp (for audio and video).
Four modes: "Ask My Sources" (search only your module), "General AI" (general-purpose questions outside your sources), "Web Search" (real-time web search), and "Create Content" (invoke any of the 30+ generators from chat).
Every fact in the answer carries a citation chip. Click it to see the source name, the exact passage, and (for PDFs) the page or (for audio/video) the timestamp. You can jump straight to that part of the source.
Source-grounded answers minimise hallucination because the tutor is constrained to your material. If something looks off, click the citation — the source passage is right there for you to verify. "General AI" mode is unconstrained by your sources, so use it accordingly.
Yes. Answers stream in token-by-token so you start reading immediately while the rest is being generated. You don't wait for the full response.
Not yet. The tutor is text-only today. Voice input and audio responses are on the roadmap.
The Learnd AI interface is in English. The AI tutor can read sources in many languages and respond in multiple languages, but quality is best with English source material today.
Modules & sharing
How content is organised and shared.
A module is a workspace for a topic or subject — like "Biology Unit 3" or "Q3 Strategy Review". A module holds your uploaded sources, an AI tutor built from those sources, any content you generated, and any notes you took. Everything in a module is linked together.
Open the module and use the share dialog. Enter the email address of the person you want to share with — they will get an invitation. They can open the module in their browser, ask the tutor, and use any generated content. You can revoke their access at any time.
Learnd AI has a public explore area where users can publish modules for others to discover. By default, all modules are private to you — you have to opt in to make a module public.
Notes inside a module support real-time collaborative editing. Module-level co-editing (adding sources, generating content) is on the roadmap.
Every module has a notes section where you can write freeform notes, ask the tutor questions inline, and create new notes for different topics. Notes save automatically and keep a version history so you can restore an earlier draft if you need to.
Study tools & generators
30+ ways Learnd AI turns your sources into study material.
30+ content types across six modes — Quick Study (quiz, flashcards, mind map, summary, glossary, concept explainer, comparison table, revision notes, cheat sheet, fill-in-the-blanks, question bank, report), Lesson Resources (slide deck, infographic, lesson plan, worksheet, discussion prompts, learning objectives, rubric), Test Yourself (mock exam, case study, model answer, practice problems), Check My Work (essay feedback, answer evaluation), Where Am I (knowledge gap analysis, progress report, topic predictor), and Plan Ahead (study plan, exam strategy guide).
Yes. Every generator has parameters — number of questions, card style, depth of mind map, lesson duration, exam time limit, and so on. You can either use sensible defaults or tweak the settings before generating.
Generation streams progressively, so you start seeing the result within seconds. Longer artifacts (mock exams, lesson plans, multi-day study plans) take longer to fully complete but you can read the early parts immediately.
Yes — you can export generated content as JSON today. Exports to PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and PNG are on the roadmap.
Today, generated content is mostly read-only inside Learnd AI. If you need to edit, you can export the JSON and modify it externally, or regenerate with different parameters.
Yes. Use "Essay Feedback" (paste your essay; Learnd AI gives rubric-based feedback) or "Answer Evaluation" (paste your answers and optional model answers; Learnd AI scores each one).
Privacy & security
What happens to your data.
No. Your uploaded sources are never used to train AI models. They are used only to power your own study tools and chat.
Yes. Data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS) and stored encrypted at rest.
By default, only you. Your modules are private unless you explicitly share them with someone via email or publish them to the public explore area.
You can delete any individual source, module, or note from inside the product. Deleted content is permanently removed from our servers.
We follow security best practices (encryption in transit and at rest, no training on user data, deletion on request). We do not currently hold formal compliance audits like SOC 2 Type II or FERPA attestation. If formal certification is required for your institution, email us at hello@lrnd.ai.
