Di.Gi. Academy partnered with LRND.ai to bring secure, sovereign AI to its ISAC platform for the cybersecurity training community. LRND.ai delivered Cy.Co., a fully white-label AI knowledge management platform, alongside a set of headless APIs for automated deadline extraction — all running on dedicated infrastructure powered by Mistral, a European large language model. The result is a privacy-first AI experience that feels like a native part of ISAC while LRND.ai provides the intelligence layer behind the scenes.
The challenge
Di.Gi. Academy wanted to enhance its ISAC platform with AI capabilities that could help users access information faster, reduce manual effort, and improve engagement with cybersecurity training content. The team faced two key challenges. First, users needed a better way to navigate large volumes of technical documentation, training videos, policies, and learning resources. Second, critical deadlines and time-sensitive information were often buried within lengthy documents, requiring users to manually search, identify, and track important dates. Di.Gi. Academy needed a solution that could turn static content into a searchable knowledge base, deliver accurate source-backed AI responses, automatically identify important dates and deadlines, maintain complete control over branding and user experience, keep sensitive information secure and isolated, and scale as adoption increased. Traditional AI tools could not meet these requirements without compromising on user experience, data privacy, or flexibility.
The solution: Cy.Co., a white-label AI knowledge management platform
LRND.ai designed and developed the complete Cy.Co. platform, including both the frontend and backend. Integrated directly within ISAC, Cy.Co. acts as an AI-powered knowledge companion that enables users to access information, collaborate, and learn without leaving the platform. To end users, Cy.Co. feels like a native ISAC feature; behind the scenes, LRND.ai provides the intelligence layer that powers the experience. Key capabilities include AI-powered search across documents, videos, and training materials; retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for accurate, context-aware responses; source citations linked directly to original materials; persistent chat history and knowledge retrieval; collaborative note-taking and shared workspaces; automated quiz generation from existing content; and centralised management of technical documentation and policies. By transforming documents into a conversational knowledge base, Cy.Co. makes critical information easier to access, understand, and retain.
Headless AI APIs for deadline extraction
Alongside Cy.Co., LRND.ai developed a set of headless APIs that analyse user documents and automatically identify important dates and deadlines. Using natural language processing and custom normalisation models, the system extracts time-sensitive information from unstructured content and surfaces it directly within the ISAC interface. Users no longer need to manually review lengthy documents to identify key actions or upcoming deadlines. The API-first approach allows ISAC to integrate this intelligence seamlessly into its existing workflows while maintaining complete control over the user experience.
Building with sovereign AI
Security and data privacy were critical requirements throughout the project. Cy.Co. and the supporting APIs run on dedicated infrastructure, ensuring Di.Gi. Academy’s data remains isolated and secure. Unlike shared AI environments, customer data never mixes with other organisations’ information. The solution is powered by Mistral, a European large language model selected to support data sovereignty and align with European data protection standards. This enables Di.Gi. Academy to deliver a privacy-first AI experience while maintaining full control over its data and infrastructure.
Why headless architecture mattered
LRND.ai’s API-first approach enabled Di.Gi. Academy to separate AI functionality from the user interface. This provided the flexibility to build custom user experiences while leveraging enterprise-grade AI capabilities behind the scenes.
